Grilled Tofu Buddha Bowl

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 large slab (approx. 100 g-3.5 oz) tofu
  • 15 mL (1 tsbp) tamari sauce
  • 5 mL (1 tsp) fresh ginger, grated (optional)
  • 1 container Fontaine Santé Vegetable Hummus
  • 1 container Fontaine Santé Pearl Couscous Salad
  • 1 container Fontaine Santé Wild Rice Salad
  • 125 mL (½ cup) edamame beans
  • 1 beet, cooked and sliced
  • 1 half-avocado
  • Cucumber sticks
  • 1 lemon section
  • 30 mL (2 tbsp) olive or sesame oil
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • Preparation: 15 minutes

In a bowl, marinate tofu with tamari and ginger, if using, for 2 hours. In the oven or on the barbecue, roast well-drained tofu.

In a decorative bowl, nicely arrange all the ingredients, then sprinkle with lemon juice and oil to taste. Season with pepper.

Variation: A pleasing, popular dish, Buddha Bowls are loaded with protein. Feel free to vary the ingredients at will, using your favourite vegetables (bell peppers, carrot, celery), replacing the edamame with bean sprouts or young shoots, etc.
